Golan is a brand representing affordable, young, quality wines providing excellent value for money.
|
 | The Golan Cabernet Sauvignon combines ripe cherry, blackberry and plum fruit characters with spicier notes, such as oak, vanilla, clove and black pepper. The wine is both full-bodied and smooth, making for an immediately enjoyable, yet clasic Cabernet. Enjoy this wine with anything from steak in black pepper sauce to pasta putanesca to checken in mole sauce. (NOT-Mevushal)

| | | The Golan Moscato is made in the style of the famous dessert wines of Piedmont in Italy, Moscato d'Asti. This aromatic wine exhibits attractive floral notes with those of fresh grapes, tropical fruits and citrus blossoms. While quite sweet, its light sparkle and relatively low alcohol content keep the wine light and refreshing. Enjoy this wine on its own as an aperitif and with fairly rich desserts, such as cold passion fruit and coconut milk soup, dark chocolate and nut mousse or crepes suzette. (NOT-Mevushal)

| The Golan Heights Winery produces premium varietals, proprietary blends and traditional method sparkling wines, marketed under the labels "Yarden", "Gamla" and "Golan". The winery was founded in 1983 and is located in the small town of Katzrin, high up on the Golan Heights. By combining state-of-the-art technology with traditional vinification techniques, the company has succeeded in producing award-winning wines, firmly placing Israel on the international wine map.The Golan Heights Winery: Now in its 16th year of production this winery produces some excellent reds and whites. During vintage years (considered exceptional), the winery has released wines in the "Katzrin" series (red Bordeaux style blends in 1990, 1993 and 1996 and Chardonnays in 1995, 1996 and 1997). The most serious and more full-bodied of the reds are the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Merlot. The reds known as "Har Hermon Adom" and "Golan Village" are fruitier and meant to be consumed younger. The most notable whites are the Chardonnay and the Sauvignon Blanc, both of which are crisply dry and make for excellent drinking, and the Emerald Riesling which is semi-dry. Also worthy of note are two sparkling wines, "Blanc de Blanc" and "Brut", both of which are made according to the traditional method of making Champagne, and two dessert wines, "Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc" and "Muscat", neither of which need make an apology for their smooth, rich sweetness. |
