41st Avenue Merlot is medium bright red, with a ripe, jammy bouquet that has hints of cedar. Flavors are smooth and light, the black fruit sustaining to a moderately tannic finish.

Arrocal Ribera Del Duero potent mulberry and blueberry aromas expand seductively, picking up baking spice and floral qualities. Art School 2005 Merlot is an elegant, velvety Merlot, this vintage tastes like the fruit has been sculpted  by hand, broad and smooth with the supple grit of pinpoint tannins.

Averill Lake Merlot 2006 is named in honor of the winemaker’s favorite place in the entire United States, a place that for him evokes memories of relaxation, peace and enjoyment at his grandparents’ summer house. The initial release of Bixler Vineyards Union Island Red Table Wine shows very rich, ripe, forward fruit, with flavors of ripe plums, cherries, blackberries and a hint of toasty oak. 

Blank Vineyard is tightly holding onto a rich tapestry of flavors and texture. This Cabernet Sauvignon is just starting to reveal itself, with hints of spice, dense black fruit and coffee notes at the fore. Renowned winemaker Gary Brookman is also known for Clark-Claudon.

Bliss Vineyards Merlot from Mendocino, California is a juicy Merlot that shows cherry and brambly spice on the nose. Coming from established Bliss vineyards throughout Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino, this 2007 Pinot Noir is another great example of well sourced grapes. It shows bright cherry on the nose with a touch of cinnamon. The mouth is full of red fruit and spice which leads to a long, refined finish. This wine beckons for a second glass!
