Barkan Reserve Merlot 2006 is above all a Merlot, not trying to imitate the muscle of Cabernet but true to its own character. It is a beautifully soft wine, with firm but round tannins wrapped around plush cherry and raspberry fruit, with layers of licorice, black pepper and subtle green pepper. The fruit is enhanced by the oak, contributing to its complexity, but never dominating the wine.
Merlot Superieur is among the finest Merlot wines ever produced in Israel. The production of this wine was strictly supervised from the start of the growing season, through selective hand harvest, fermentation, racking and barrel aging.
Binyamina Special Reserve Merlot is deep red in colour with intense aromas of forest fruits, raspberry and strawberry combined with toasted oak and vanilla. The elegant flavor of this medium bodied wine leaves a long-lingering taste. Serving suggestions: Serve at room temperature.
Bustan Merlot is produced from grapes hand harvested from carefully chosen parts of selected vineyards. The grapes were grown and harvested in accordance with instructions from the winery after which they were subject to very strict sorting.
Carmel Appellation Merlot is rich purple in color and has a splendid aroma of cassis, violets and bittersweet chocolate and is full bodied with a long well balanced aftertaste.
Dalton Merlot is a fruity, dark purple wine, showing classic varietal qualities of plums, cherries, cloves and homemade jam, balanced by subtle shades of vanilla from the barrel.
Flegmann Merlot has a deep ruby color. Savory aromas of black cherry, cocoa, clay, cigar box, and delicate herbs follow through on a round, supple entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with nice balance, purity and depth. Finishes with a crisp, mineral accented fade.
Galil Mountian Merlot has a sparkling purple color with raspberry, strawberry and wild berry jam characters and a light touch of mint and green pepper. A medium-to-full bodied wine with balanced acidity and a pleasant finish.
The 2004 Gamla Merlot exhibits rich ripe berry fruit layered with hints of cocoa, spice and oak. Classic character along with satisfying richness makes this Merlot a rewarding experience. Gamla Merlot is ready to enjoy and will remain in good condition for up to about seven years from the vintage.
Psagot's Merlot was aged for 13 months in small French oak barrels. This fruit forward wine is loaded with plum and cherry aromas. The wine has soft tannins and a nice spicy finish.
The Merlot grapes that went into this wine were harvested in the vinery's vineyards in the Upper Galilee and the Ella Valley. The aroma of this rich, full-bodied wine includes hues of vanilla, mint and cloves and the characteristic red berry flavors.
Segal's Dovev Merlot has an intense garnet color, displaying intense aromas of chocolate, tea and boot leather with barrel and bottle bouquet further enhancing its complexity. Full flavored with rich licorice and plum.
Segal's Special Reserve Merlot grapes were grown in the unique climate of the Upper Galilee were harvested at peak ripeness. The ripe, peppery nose is balanced by its rich body, deep flavor and color.
Developed in mostly French oak for 12 months, intensely dark garnet in color, opening with a rich mineral and black fruit nose, going on to show firm but gently caressing tannins on a medium- to full-bodied frame. Tabor Chalk Soil Merlot opens in the glass to reveal currant, plum and licorice notes and finishes with a generous hint of espresso. Approachable and enjoyable
Tabor Galil Merlot is medium-bodied, with light spicy and vanilla notes added by aging with oak staves. With soft tannins integrated nicely, a soft, round and fruit-forward wine showing raspberry and milk chocolate notes, all lingering nicely. Easy to drink.
The 2004 Yarden Merlot Ortal Vineyard combines strong blackberry, cherry and raspberry fruit notes with nuances of fresh herbs, dried flowers and orange zest. A background of rich oak helps frame the sensory picture.
