Nice, fresh, slightly tart aroma of apples and a spritz of lime. On the palate there's no tartness at all - it's all sweetness and peaches... yes, a certain lightness, honey-toned creaminess and gentle prickling from the modest acids.
The nose is rich and full of spice and hints at the power that lies within. Tipping the scales at 15.5% alv. This is a super concentrated, powerful, spicy, intensely aromatic wine, with exceptional intensity and a dry yet muscular, rich finish. It should last for ten or more years.
Passo Primo is a blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 5% Molinara. It is a rounded, velvet-textured wine with rich, complex aromas of berries. It has an impressively lengthy finish that seems to linger forever.

This is another example of the way in which Catherine Delaunay has transferred her family know-how to the South of France. This wine, which is produced in limited quantities, is quite different from preconceived ideas people generally have about Pinot Noir wines when the variety is grown away from its homeland. It is well worth discovering.
This wine has a lovely pink color veering towards bright red with a very bright appearance. It is very fruity, with scents of raspberries and strawberries together with floral aromas. This is a pleasant, easy drinking wine with an extremely well-balanced palate combining roundness and length with good acidity and freshness.
From the wine-making team of Catherine & Laurent Delaunay (4th generation winemakers from Burgundy) in the Languedoc in the south of France, this wine reflects the original style of Malbec.
