Little Mattro Rosso Toscano is from the coast of Tuscany. Patiently aged for 12 months in French oak barriques, this wine shows a full, round, dry taste; well balanced with rich notes of plum and black pepper.
Loggia Delle Sassaie Toscana is a great blend of only the best grapes grown on the hills of the central Tuscany. This wine obtained its unique character and elegance due to oak aging. It was matured and patiently aged in fine French oak barrels for up to 18 months, developing complexity , brilliant flavors ant soft texture. Classified IGT. Pare it with traditional Tuscan dishes.
This Loxarel OPS Red is the result of the combination of the Cabernet and Merlot's fruit with the toasted and vanilla of the partial ageing of the Tempranillo. The result is a wine with a more modern style and easy to drink. The acidity is well compensated by the alcohol; the tannin is silky but firm, rounding the combination perfectly. Its aftertaste is long and spicy (vanilla, cinnamon).
The 2007 Mencia was fermented in stainless steel and bottled unfiltered. Purple-colored, it has an expressive nose of mineral, earth notes, and racy blue fruits. Sweet, ripe, and full-flavored on the palate, this well-balanced effort has the potential to evolve for 1-2 years but can be enjoyed now through 2013.
Is it authenticity you’re looking for? You’ll find it in this 100% Tempranillo, Spain’s quintessential native red wine grape, distinctively unlike any of the other red varietals so widely available from all over the world. This Manuel Campos Tempranillo bouquet offers a bold blend of luscious black cherry fruit with an earthy peppery core.
Mastro Sabaudo Barbera D' Asti is ruby red in color with garnet reflections. The bouquet is full and fragrant with the scent of ripe cherries. Very intense and persistent in character.
Menguante has a robust, but balanced, expression of Garnacha coming from the confusingly named region of Cariñena. Aroma of sweet black fruit on a tannic and full-bodied wine that would do nicely with a steak!
Menguante Tempranillo was aged 3 months in new French oak. A saturated purple in color, it offers up fragrant aromas of violets, vanilla, blueberry and blackberry liqueur. Medium to full-bodied, this juicy effort has abundant forward fruit and excellent length. Nicely balanced, it can be enjoyed now and over the next 4 years. It is an outstanding value.
Meteor Vineyard is located in the Coombsville region of Napa Valley. In this southeastern corner of Napa Valley, cool San Francisco Bay breezes linger and ripening is leisurely, but assured. Soils are a mix of well-drained river rock and mineral-rich volcanic ash, ideally suiting it for Bordeaux varieties, especially cabernet sauvignon.
Mezzaluna Gavi is a brilliant pale yellow wine, rich in fruit notes, elegant , dry and soft. Its fragrant and crisp body is a perfect companion to shell-fish, salads oysters, pizza and poultry, excellent as aperitif.
Mingo Tempranillo has voluptuous scents of ripe black fruit infused with a seductive blend of sweet spice and musky, earthy grilled meat aromas. It’s full and on the palate with loads of juicy red fruit flavors and velvety tannins that exude warmth and generosity.
Nessa Albarino has a pale gold and just slightly effervescent, it has a very aromatic nose (as one expects from Albariño) filled with apples, limeaid, fennel and carnations.
Nicholson Ranch Chardonnay shows exotic pineapple and smoke aromas. Big, rich and lush but with good focus. Fat with fruit but not overly sweet. Impressively dense and long.
This Nicholson Ranch Pinot Noir packs a punch on the palate. A rich, weighty mouthfeel full of our classic cherry/berry combination shows through immediately, uninterrupted by oak or tannin. Very ripe-fruit and fruit-forward, this newest vintage is a crowd pleaser.
Ondarre Reserva Rioja is an awesome find. Intense cherry red colour. Aromas of oak ageing with hints of spices. Strong attack, good backbone, full-flavoured, with well integrated long-lasting tannins. Long and persistent finish.
The 2003 Page Blend is a complex blend of some of Napa Valley’s finest Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The wine has a bold, deep, garnet-hue with the nose revealing brooding black fruit giving way to hints of caramel, cedar and sage. Concentrated and complex, the wine expresses a powerful elegance that is unmatched...
A rich wine with hints of allspice, cinnamon, and black pepper. Normally this grape is used as a blender with Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot to enhance body and color but our Cabernet Franc is full flavored enough to warrant its own bottling.
This Quaking Hills Merlot 2004 will hit you with intense dark cherry and currant aromas. Then the deep chocolate and vanilla oak flavors combine to make this a very rich Merlot. Enjoy our Merlot with milder meat dishes using lamb or pork, or with a hearty beef stew or shish-kabobs on the grill. It also goes great with almost any cheese.
Star Winemaker Celia Welch Masyczek selected individual lots and slowly pieced together the components of this intriguing blend. Bad Boy Red blackberry aromas jump out of the glass. Lightly vanilla-scented oak tones provide a deeper note to the lifted perfumy fruit aromas. At entry the wine is broad and soft, showing nice depth and a juicy mid-palate. The finish shows just a tiny “zip” of fresh crisp berry flavor.
The grapes for this handcrafted estate wine were grown at our Grigsby Vineyard, located in the Yountville appellation of Napa Valley. Black cherry, dark plum and raspberry notes dominate the aromas, while floral vanilla, anise and cinnamon notes provide support. On the palate the texture is broad and silky, with mocha and black currant notes dominating the finish.
